WhatsApp has taken over the traditional text messages that were popular once. The slang has changed from “text me” to “WhatsApp me” and according to the company, there are a whopping 300 million active users in WhatsApp. Yes, it’s that popular.
From what I remember, WhatsApp has not updated its interface. Or maybe they did, but I’ve never taken notice. However, application user interace is quite old. Italian graphic designer Edoardo Guido intends to fix things when launching a new design concept for iOS WhatsApp 7.
The app for which everyone is peeping to see an update is WhatsApp because just like Facebook people use WhatsApp more often as-well. But, there is still no update and everyone is dark on this that whether they are going to update WhatsApp for iOS 7 sooner or later. But, an Italian graphic designer Edoardo Guido come up with a concept of WhatsApp and set out a new iOS 7 feel in WhatsApp.
As you can see, the new design – web designer Timo Wever – follows the new iOS design guidelines 7 and finer features Helvetica fonts, words which were previously, and buttons, tabs and icons minimalist and clean. It is also much greener than existing WhatsApp application – that looks blue navigation bars and black eyelashes – making it a better choice for the brand WhatsApp.
The concept is very well designed. The code display is inspired by iOS 7 password screen, which is good for security purposes. The home screen displays the IM favorite people. The profile page could be better, the font is too small. I like the part of the subjects, the feature of allowing theming WhatsApp is good idea.
I do not know about you, but I love this design concept, and I’ll be very disappointed if WhatsApp does not come with something similar. The current design looks too old and dated now – especially now that iOS 7 is here – and this is a big improvement. [Download]
